Wellness Exams

Wellness exams are critical to monitoring the overall health of your pet. Annual physical examinations by one of our veterinarians will help detect early signs of potential problems before they become costly for you and painful for your pet. For older pets, we recommend wellness exams every six months to maintain optimal health in their senior days. Our ultimate goal is to prevent disease and allow your pets to spend longer, healthier lives with their family.

During your pet's comprehensive nose-to-tail exam, the veterinarian will listen to the heart and lungs, discuss oral hygiene and weight management, check skin and coat quality, and much more. If you have any specific questions about your pets health, we encourage you to write them down before your appointment. This way we can make sure to address all of your concerns while the doctor is right there with you.

As part of our mission to provide the highest quality care, we require all pets to have a relationship with one of our doctors prior to receiving any vaccines at our hospital. We provide all core vaccines for dogs and cats as well as elective vaccines that can be discussed and implemented based on you and your pet's lifestyle.

Canine vaccines:
Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, & Parvovirus (DHPP)
Canine Influenza Virus (CIV)

Feline vaccines:
Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, & Panleukopenia (FVRCP)
Feline Leukemia (FeLV)

*All of our Feline Rabies vaccines are non-adjuvanted, meaning that the likelihood of developing a vaccine-induced sarcoma at the injection site is greatly reduced.

We understand that sometimes clients feel more comfortable with more than one medical opinion. If you would like to schedule a consultation with one of our experienced veterinarians, we would be more than happy to review all prior medical history and create a modified health plan. If your pet is in need of a referral to a specialty service that is beyond our general practice (i.e. orthopedics, internal medicine, dermatology, oncology, etc.), we will set you up with one of the many specialty clinics that best suits your pet's needs.
